A tornado passed just a few blocks from the hotel on the night we stayed in Wichita, which made for an interesting night. Our reservation was made over the phone in the car at the last minute, so we weren't able to read up on what place we were actually getting. The girl at the front desk seemed to be pretty under control even with a crowd of about 10 people in the lobby. She did forget to mention what the breakfast accommodations were, but did give directions to the tornado shelter up the road. We stayed in the room instead since we wouldn't make it to the shelter in time driving thru the rain/hail. The bed was pretty nice with tons of pillows which ended up covering us as we waited out the storm in the bathroom tub. We did hear a lot of stomping and what appeared to be the noise of a vacuum from the guests staying above us, which may not be bad under normal circumstances since all the guests were pretty freaked out. The room itself was more like an apartment, which would have been nice if we were staying more than one night. We give props to the staff for being cool under pressure since most of the guests had never been thru a tornado experience before.

Converting an apartment complex into a motel is a smart way to get started in the motel industry. The idea was great. The floor plan was great, but the implementation was pretty terrible. The walls and ceiling were peeling away from apparent water damage. There were gaps in the front door you could see out of when the door was closed. Not an endearing quality when the temperatures are in their 30s. The sliding glass door to the outside was also a source of serious frigid air leakage. No matter how high you cranked up the heat, there was about a six inch layer along the floor that was ice cold. As long as you stayed in bed, you were fine, but God help you if you get up to use the facilities.
The shower never gets very hot. I had it cranked all the way up, but it was never hot enough for me, plus what heat it does have wears off very quickly. Not good.
The "WIFI" was hotspot WIFI and not very strong. Dial up speeds at best.
The best was very comfy. The full kitchen, very handy. However these two aspect alone are not cause for me to return.

I was just passing through and needed a place to crash for the night. It was my first time at this brand and was surprised at the size of the room.
This hotel would be great for extended stays as it is more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. Though I never had a studio apartment this nice.
It is an older hotel but well maintained. There is a full kitchen, and a pull out sofa bed. There is a basketball and volleyball court. Also a pool.
