We stayed at the Cape Codder for a weekend anniversary getaway and loved every minute of it. The on-site restaurant food was very good, wine bar pleasant and outdoor bar and entertainment at night lively. We have kids (but left them home) so we weren't exceptionally bothered by the families, but if that isn't your thing, know that the on-site indoor waterpark area is a lure for families with kids.
The room was LOVELY, with more of a beachy decor and a four-post bed, as well as some of the nicest housekeeping staff we have met. Even when we arrived at 1:30 am, the front desk staff was cordial and accommodating. Overall, we WILL be visiting again. HIGHLY recommend.

We stayed during a week of horrible weather, so the pool was at capacity -- and there was a run on towels.
Even though the lifeguards were getting bored with the guests and probably just wanted to hang out with each other, the kids were almost safe enough on the long tube slides.
The crowds could have been more annoying, yet it was a chilly, rainy day on the Cape -- who didn't want to be at a fun indoor pool? Fortunately, the room we stayed in was nice, newly renovated, and spacious. Though the food at the restaurants is so-so (and they don't give you any free coffee, which is cheap) the wait staff was good and welcoming, despite the crowds.
When the weather permitted going outside, we really appreciated the beauty of the extensively landscaped grounds and the bonfires at night. The children loved it all. For us grown-ups, we appreciated the children's happiness. We were also glad to be in a renovated room -- older rooms are tired and sad.
