We had four rooms at the Days Inn, Petoskey for part of a family get-away weekend. We chose it for economy, but were very pleased to discover that it was also a great value for the price because of all the extras. We arrived late with tired and hungry children and were delighted to discover that the "breakfast" room was stocked not only with breakfast foods, but also soups & salads, homemade chile and a large variety of kid-friendly foods. It was much easier than dragging the whole crew to a restaurant. The only drawback was the key system because the keys expired at the stroke of 11: a.m.. This might work fine for the business traveler, but for a group including several small children, not so much. We returned from breakfast at 11:05 intending to load up our cars and depart only to find that we were locked out of our rooms with our luggage inside. Might be a good idea to be a little more flexible when coding the keys.

Nice room and comfortable beds. Only complaint I had was the air conditioner. Thermostat for the lowest cold setting was 76 degrees F so the room was warm and stuffy. Got the room at a reduced rate and it made the discomfort somewhat tolerable. :) Petoskey was a beautiful city and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

got there early and was refused early check in, was in room 200 and the sign at the top of the stairs listed rooms 201 - 249, and shower head was under 5' high, but the free food was a plus.

The room felt a little small, but it was comfortable. The complimentry food buffet offered lots of choices, more than just breakfast foods.
