I liked the hotel because it was right in downtown Missoula but was quiet and felt it was on the edge of town. My room overlooked the East Fork River and all I could heat at night was the sound of running watwe. It was clean and the staff were courteous. It had an excekllent dining room.

Shower went from VERY HOT to VERY COLD off and on the entire length of the showers—2 of them. An included breakfast would be nice (& not bars, fruit, whatnot), as would an extra BLANKET in the room; I FROZE last night! (Got in after 3 a.m. so calling front desk was not an option.)
Spent 1 night (flew in from Denver for a college buddy's 50th birthday surprise party. Left my cell phone @ my pal's house. Their home phone is unlisted. I HAD to call my own (720) area code phone to see if someone found it (they did).
And I was charged $7.40??? Seven dollars and forty cents for a less-than-2-minute phone call? Really? The Hiltons must've been hit REAL hard by the recession. Or maybe Paris needs more Jimmy Choo heels...
Gotta consider Holiday Inn or other 3/4 star places.
($7.40??? Really???)

Older property with average appeal and service. It could certainly benefit from some upgrading like maybe an elevator? The onsite restaurant seemed to have some appeal to the local "in" crowd but beyond that there would be little to get jacked up about. The hotel is located in an older part of Missoula well away from the current growth pattern in the community and more upbeat alternatives. No real complaints with the room or stay. It just rates ho hum or average. The room was clean but certainly nothing to write home to momma about.

I've stayed here at different times of the year, and each season I love being on the river. The views are incredible, it's a great walkable location to downtown as well as UM campus, and it always feels like I'm immediately "home" when I arrive. The restaurant is one of the best in town, and has great happy hour prices if you're so inclined.

Was a great location close to campus (walking distance). I was visiting Missoula to see my new granddaughter and stayed for 8 days/nights at this hotel. Staff was very helpful, front desk even had a disposable diaper for us when my son forgot the diaper bag. My daughter -in- law (nursing mom) loved the warm cookies and we asked for them often going thru lobby and staff was very accomodating.
Food was great (esp. breakfast) in hotel restaurant, nice view of river for diners. Large martini selection also very fun (hard to choose). Waitstaff was helpful, would be nice if they didn't rush into lunch menu at 11:00 for those of us from different time zones. Kitchen staff seem to put pressure on waiters to move to lunch menu, not real busy and we wanted breakfast. That was only negative.
I will definately stay again and recommend it for family going out for the graduation.
