At the last minute, we decided to go to Raleigh. We wanted a room with a kitchenette and Homewood Suites had one at an unbelievable price. Well, it far exceeded our expectations. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean with only the smallest of wear (I was told the hotel was open for about 8 years). Our room was next to the elevators on the first floor. After the first night with the doors closed to the bedroom, only the faintest noise could be heard. The breakfast was excellent. Not only is it hot and buffet style, it changed over the three mornings we were there. If you went away hungry, it was your fault. For the evening, Mon-Thurs there is a manager's reception. We only ate there once, but that was excellent as well. Excellent selection, though not a full dinner spread, it had ample supply of food. To top that, there was wine (both white and red) and a beer available. We did not even use the kitchenette, save for the refrigerator. We would stay again and recommend it to any one. It is located just off a major highway in Raleigh, but is located on a quiet road. There is a large 200+ shopping center with several restaurants with outside access and a large food court.
