The most welcoming, friendly and accommodating hotel I've stayed in lately. It is the only Native American owned property in Santa Fe and the ambiance and décor reflects just that. This is my second stay and I'm ready to book next year.

The Hotel Santa Fe bills itself as a luxury hotel...it's prices certainly are! Â The room was smaller than I expected (we had a suite) and it was pretty crowded for 3 people. Â But worst of all, our room was between the pool and the kitchen...with its extremely noisy dishwasher. Â When I complained, they assured me that the noise would stop after 11 pm...but it started back up again early in the morning. Â Overall, I was very disappointed in this experience

The hotel staff could not have been more accomodating and friendly.  There was an extra $18 per day "resort fee" that probably should have  just been added into the room charge, but the overall the stay was worth every penny.  The shuttle that takes you anywhere in the downtown area and brings you back to the hotel was great. It was nice not to have to worry about parking.  The restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced.  There was a repair needed in the bathroom and it was completed before we came back to the room.  The hotel gave us an upgraded room at no charge when we checked in. This gave us a nice sitting area with it's own TV, plus a balcony overlooking the pool. I cannot think of a single negative during our stay.  The TV show "Longmire" was filming in the area and we got to meet some of the cast who were staying at the hotel.  It was really hard to leave and come back home.
Extra fee didn't make up for the comfort, convenience, and the friendly staff.

I've stayed here several times over the years. The prices just keep going up, even with the specials. This was the first time I noticed an extra $15 per day fee added to my bill. It came with a brochure explaining the fee. It covered things like the "free" parking lot, the "free" shuttle services, coffee/tea in the mornings, and a few other things. They donate some of the money to the arts.
Donating to the arts is wonderful but I felt this fee was a bit over the top considering I'm already being charged close to a 20% room tax.
So although the hotel is comfortable, attractively furnished, convenient to a lot Santa Fe has to offer, and has friendly employees, I can't recommend staying here unless you don't mind paying fees on top of your hefty room tax.
