The hotel was way overpriced for the tiny cramped room that I was given.

We stayed in the older section, which has been nicely redone. My only complaint was the noise. We had a corner room and got lots of traffic noise early in the morning, plus the blinds aren't room-darkening so if you need dark to sleep, bring a sleep mask. I didn't hear anyone next to us, but every time we walked down the hallway we got intimate details of one couple's ongoing fight. (They fought for several hours.) Obviously the hotel can't control this, but it does speak to the thinness of the walls. Other than that, it was great. The staff was very responsive to our needs, and the pool (though tiny) was great for the kid.

We stayed in the older building which had some nice character. All new finishes, very clean. Staff was great, bartender and wait staff was very good. Great location. Nice pool and hot tub. Totally recommend it. Oh, great price in off season Newport!

We negotiated a great price for the room. However our room was so small i had to get out of the bed at the foot. Also the headboard was against the elevator shaft which was fun. The bed had a topper on the mattress, but the springs still pushed through. On the plus side the room was well decorated. Awesome pool and hot tub, unfortunately in December the walk across the street to use it was challenging. Asked about a move or upgrade and was told they could not on a prepaid room. I hear the suites are nice. Oh well great price lousy room.
