This motel has been converted from a Red Roof style of motel. The rooms are small, the walls are thin, and the walk-ways are all outside. The furnishings are nicely dressed up. Since the walkways are all outside, they generate a fair bit of noise especially when roller suitcases are rolling in and out. If you are a light sleeper, either bring ear plugs or choose another motel.
The Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Lots of hot/cold items which tasted quite good.

When travelling, I always stay in Hampton Inns, or one of their sister hotels, because I love the beds and rooms. However, the bed in this room was like a concrete slab. It was horrible and I did not sleep well and was sore in the morning. The friendliness of the staff was ok, and the breakfast was pretty good. When we return to Orangeburg, we will not be staying here.

My wife and I stayed here on our way from Virginia to St. Petersburg. We accidentally left our pillows (the "expensive" kind) on our trip down. We were planning on stopping there on the way home, so we called them to see if they had found the pillows. They found them, kept them in a safe place, and were returned to us when we passed back through Orangeburg on our way home. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Stayed overnight on a business trip. Reservation and room were ready when I arrived. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was quite nice.
The only downside was that the pool was closed and locked. The weather was hot and I might have gone for a swim if it had been open. But that was a small issue with an otherwise very good overnight stay.

The staff was extremely friendly and very fast at check in and check out. The room was clean and orderly. You can tell that Hampton Inn pays attention to the details.
The stay was over all great unitill time to sleep. After laying down I pulled the bed spread up to smell something bad (Body Odor, I think). The spread didnt seem to be clean, so I chucked that to the floor and after a long day got the blanket from the closet for cover.
I do quite a bit of traveling, is this the worst? NO, I have had AAALLLLLOOOOTTTTT worse. This Hampton is actualy one ofe the better (other then the body odor blanket).
