The rooms are pretty dingy and musty, and the wall are visibly dirty from people touching them. That being said, the hotel staff is generally nice though a little on the clueless side. There are no security cameras in the parking lot.
Our truck was parked under a light, near a door, and locked up before we turned in for the night. However we were still broken into and no one at the desk knew what to do or was willing to help. Instead, I spent half of one of my vacation days talking to police, and credit card companies rather than with my family. I found out later that we were staying in an unsavory part of town-- why would there be no security cameras if this wasn't a safe place?!
This hotel made me feel welcome. Everyone was friendly.

The front desk person was very friendly. the room was very comfortable and clean. the bathroom was big. great view! breakfast was good and delicious and free. staff was friendly.

We travel frequently and stay in very clean, non-smoking rooms from $75 to $125. We were pleased to find this hotel in a convenient area but then we were very disappointed to find the room smelled of smoke, the shower trickled, and it was just generally noisy, all for $100. We expect Hampton Inn to be of much higher quality, even if we have to pay a little more. This hotel is in need of complete refurbishment. We would not stay there again as it is.
