The room was spacious and clean, the staff was very helpful, and the proximity to the UVA campus is ideal.

I had booked a year in advance for the UVA Graduation booked 3 rooms and was disappointed to discover I had never received the information of the welcome package. Also was disappointed in the morning to be have the hostess at the restaurant rudely inform us that we could not get breakfast. One of the reasons I selected this hotel was to make it easy for my elderly parents. Very disappointed in the service the hotel provided knowing the hotel was serving a large number of families.

This was a very clean hotel in a very convenient place. I believe it has recently been renovated as everything was modern and the the bathroom was incredibly clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was exremely nice and very helpful. The location was in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The trolley stop is half a block from the hotel and its free and easy to use. the only thing I would have liked was a free continental breakfast. We paid $* for the breakfast buffet. It was good though and the food was fresh.

I have stayed at Marriotts before and was so disappointed in this one. Parking deck was too small and hard to find way and get in and out. There seemed to be mold in the air that made me sick. The elevator was way too slow. I could not wait to leave, I felt closed in and will never stay there again.
