My wife and I travelled from Norfolk, Va to stay the night in Shenandoah National Park for the weekend. Since we were arriving late and didn't want to set up camp in the dark we decided staying in a hotel in Luray would be fine. We didn't want anything to expensive since we were only sleeping there but we also wanted something clean. The Days Inn was perfect for that! Clean rooms, beds, bathrooms, lobby, etc. It just felt nice. The continental breakfast was limited but a nice touch. Also, this was one of the closest hotels to the actual park and it was easy to find (directly off the main road to Luray).

The room had mold, big dead bugs everywhere. Out dated and very stained furniture. Smelled of body odor. Not what the internet said. People cleaning the rooms were sooo creepy my daughters were frightened. The first room they gave us had someones stuff still in it and pills on the sofa bed. I have stayed in many hotels and this one was by far the worst one ever. I had to go to the doctors and get an antibiotic for the bronchitis I got from breathing in the mold. We had a jacuzzi room and the front of the tub was being held together by tape. The carpet was torn in several places. Toilet had mold and the tub/shower. The kitchen area smelled of Indian food. I will have nightmares from this place. DO NOT stay here. Oh did I mention the smell of pee in the breezway? Or the trash and the two mobile homes in the courtyard? I also have pictures to prove it. BEWARE!
