There brochure states newly renovated but I don't know what was newly renovated. The room we had was two double beds. It was very small more than two people would be a crowd. The walls were banged up & dirty, there were dust balls hanging from the ceiling. The bath was ok but very small, it looked like they attempted to keep it clean & the shower was good. The beds were comfortable. The location is good, 10 minutes to downtown Burlington, 2 minutes to collage & right of I-89. The best part was the sliding glass door in our room, plenty of fresh air.

After a 4 day stay, I could not wait to get somewhere DRY. The floors/carpets were damp, the bedding, the towels, my clothes hanging and in drawers. No vents in the bathrooms, poor air circulation. Paper and cardboard items turned to mush. Sheets were damp when going to bed at night. I never felt dry in this hotel, be it in the room, the restaurant, the lobby, or hallways. I hated to walk barefoot in the room. My roommates feet started to peel after 2 days because they couldn't dry out. Bathing suits hung to dry, didn't. I did not lke the "indoor camping" feel of this hotel, and wonder what health concerns could arise from the lack of air circulation and constant dampness.

I've stayed here twice in the last year and I won't be back. I remember thinking after the first time that I wouldn't be back. I should have stuck to that pledge. Here's what I had a problem with: my room was hot when I entered it. I immediately looked at the thermostat and it was set to 50. I then had to open the slider to cool the room down. With the slider open had to get up in the middle of the night to close it only to wake up in the morning in a sweltering room. The tub drain was extremely slow so that by the end of my shower I was standing in ankle deep water. There was a long hair(not mine) on one of the towels. The minute you get off the elevator (I was on the 4th floor) I was hit with that classic stench of stale cigarette smoke masked by cleaning products that you usually don't, and shouldn't, smell in hotels these days. I won't be back...there are better choices in Burlington.

This hotel is in a great location for Burlington and all of Vermont. We spent our day doing road trips around the state and our nights in the Church Street shops and restaurants. This hotel is the closest one to the colleges and very close and everything else you could need is no more than minutes away.
