My party had a total of three rooms at the Days Inn, and two of them reeked to high heavens. I think it was probably due to some sort of water problem - the carpet around the fridge was soaked and remained so throughout the three-day stay. I would have checked out shortly after checking in had I not prepaid. The staff was either grumpy (one guy yelled at me to watch my kids, who were no more than 20 yards in front of me) or unhelpful. Oh, and two rooms had orange signs warning of contamination from recent drug labs that were removed. We won't be going back here again.

I called and requested a first floor room as soon as I made the reservation and was told I was all set - I am unable to climb steps
without a great deal of pain. When we checked in, I was told that this was not noted on my reservation and they could not possibly accommodate me without a handicap sticker. I don't have one as I am only impaired when it comes to stairs. No attempt was made to accommodate me. Also, the rooms could have been cleaner - there was a message written on the bathroom wall that was no even cleaned up.

I will read reviews however, rarely do I write them. After staying at the Days Inn Huntington, WV, I got an email asking about my stay. So here we go The first night we checked in was bad. The front desk clerk gave another guest a set of keys to my sons room allowing a stranger to walk in on my son. I went to the front desk and expressed my disappointment and concern about the security and safety of the hotel. She apologized however misstated the truth about the error. Every night there after, we had to get new keys to both rooms after being away all day. The final night of our stay, a shooting occured at the Red Roof Inn just across from the Days Inn. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the lobby offered a decent breakfast however, I cant say if I would stay there again due to the loose security.
