All the other reviews tell you how outdated and beat the place is, so I won't go there. I'm sure it was nice .... 30 years ago. What was really disturbing was when we returned to our room and a complete stranger was in it and had gone thru my luggage. Nothing taken, but the staff could care less about the security breach. They went out of their way to assure us it wasn't their fault and nothing else. Didn't apologize, offer anything, say they would look into it or write an incident report (even after we asked for one). I should have called the police and ruined their evening. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

We were there on a golf package. Room was ok but I am not real picky. [My wife was not with me] The buffet dinner was not very good. We were there last year and it was very good. This year the chicken was dried out, the roast beef tasteless and the shrimp was all breading. The desserts were very good though. The golf courses were crowded but we were able to play 27 each day.

I have stayed at the Lakeview Inn in the past and I was hoping this time would be better. It wasn't. The room was dusty and smelled like mildew. There was no soap in the bathroom and the toilet paper roll was almost empty.
My reservation was for a king suite. When I got to the room, I had two double beds. When I called the front desk to tell them I got the wrong room, they told me there were no more King beds. I asked for a rate adjustment and got one, but why didn't they tell me this when I checked in.
I realize this is an older hotel, but drop the "resort" and pay more attention to details!

This hotel was billed as being 3.5 stars: I'm not sure what criteria were being used to make that determination. I paid $*/night with Priceline's "Name Your Own Price," and I would not want to pay a penny more. In fact, I feel like I overpaid a bit.
The hotel is not that convenient to WVU or downtown Morgantown: it's about 7-8 miles away. The arrangement of the hotel was a little confusing. It would be a nightmare for someone in a wheelchair or who has trouble walking. The decor in the rooms is a little dated. The walls are super thin. I could not only hear folks talking out in the hall; I could listen in on their conversation. The hotel offered a free continental breakfast, which I didn't know until the second/final day of my stay.
When I got to my room it was pretty stuffy. I turned on the AC and nothing happened. So, I called down to the front desk. However, the "Guest Services" button on the phone didn't work. I tried dialing "0" and no one answered. I finally used my cell phone to call down to the front desk. The front desk attendant said that sometimes they take a little while to turn on, but she would have maintenance come up and check it out. As I was talking to her, the AC turned on.
Having said all of that, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. So, if that's all that you require, then don't hesitate. I would be very unlikely to stay here again. It just didn't seem worth it. I'm sure there was a room closer in to Morgantown that was comparably priced and more up-to-date.

Not what we had expected. Toilet got blocked and overflowed. It took over three hours to get this rectified and cleaned up and would have taken longer if I hadn't kept on at them. Sports Bar service was awful - young waitresses not interested in 'family types' like us and this rated as some of the worst service I have experienced in my many visits to the States. Room walls paper thin and the room overlooked a service area/ back car park which sucked considering we were at a Golf Resort. Three in the room but only two towels. This is an old worn out dump - be warned.
