    When we arrived at 4:00pm the housekeeper was cleaning our room. we went out, had supper and returned. upon entering the room we noticed it smelled stale, like someone ...

    When we arrived at 4:00PM the housekeeper was cleaning our room. We went out, had supper and returned. Upon entering the room we noticed it smelled stale, like someone had been smoking in it. When I phoned the desk to verify that it was a non-smoking room, I was told that it was and that maybe what we smelled was the cleaning products the cleaners used. Yeah right! The room still smelled after we aired it out with the door open. Very unpleasant and the staff insulted my intelligence by implying I couldn't tell the difference between cleaning products and smoke.
