I came to Winter park to teach our son to ski.Turns out Columbine # 3 was small but much bigger then a hotel room. The kitchenette and dining area were a nice bonus, ate in 4 nights and out once. I only rated the bed average because I have a tempur-pedic at home and nothing else compares. The couch/hideaway bed has seen a lot of big butts and is very tired. Someone may want to check out the leaking roof into the upstairs bathroom, it is starting to buckle the drywall behind the toilet (potential mold issues). The jacuzzi down the hill never got hotter then a bath tub, that I could have made my own bubbles in. Never heard anyone, just cars coming home at night, scary quiet for someone from Chicago. The public bus was less then 50 yards from the unit, we were at the Mtn in 15 minutes. Bring a small bottle of oxygen, the first night was a killer acclimating to the elevation. Our son got sick from it and hurled chunks, the management co. sent over a professional cleaning service and did all of the carpets at the same time, nice plus. Very nice stay for the money.

The hotel that we booked was terrible. It was dirty and had human hair on the front steps.

Aside from the bed (worn out mattress and boxspring) and the spotted carpeting in the lower level, we were happy with the unit.

Smelly at first/spiders all over the place/had not been aired out/ really needs a major update carpet,furniture/kitchen stuff/bedding/...still cozy and comfortablea value/but not a luxury stay
