The District Hotel was a good value. It was expensive, but so are all hotels worth staying at in DC. The bed was small (probably a double), the room was tiny, but the bathroom felt nice. The remote control didn't work, but at least the TV did.
I figure I saved about $80/night by opting for the District Hotel. It would've been nice if there had been a small desk, but at least the WiFi worked.
The breakfast offered a reasonable selection of bagels and pastries, juice, and coffee. It was adequate.
I understand that the price is low for an hotel near downtown but i do not accept the absolute missing care of the place ...the hotel has a mold smell ...
i understand that the price is low for an hotel near downtown but i do not accept the absolute missing care of the place ...the hotel has a mold smell throughtout, not even one foot to turn around the bed in the room,the 18 century tv has a remote that doesn't work and good luck to have it reprogrammed... internet works only in the lobby, elevetor is broken ( i guess for months now#,
if you want breakfast don't wait until the last moment # 9.30) because you only get the left overs...
Unless on an extreme budget, spending $60 more at another facility would be well

No phone service in room and although advertised, no wifi. web page photos entirely misleading. very quaint exterior but no extra care to indoor decor and up keep. excellent neighborhood ...
