Stayed at the Langham on a holiday weekend and was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, proximity to restaurants/attractions, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. It is a tad on the pricy side, but it was well worth it.
The only knock I'd have on it is the bar located at the hotel which turns in a yuppy fratboy-wanna be nightclub on weekends.

I almost never review, but had to take time to praise this hotel. I had booked a king size bed for myself and 2 small children b/c that was all that had been available. When I got to reception and asked about a room with 2 queen beds, the hotel offered to upgrade me to a junior suite and give me a rollaway bed at no extra charge. When housekeeping brought the rollaway bed, they even brought extra chocolates for the girls :) The room was beautiful and impeccably clean. The staff was kind and helpful--giving directions, happily taking a photo for us in front of their signature pink taxi. This was our first stay at a Langham hotel and we are eager to return. Thanks to all!

This was our first trip to Boston and I vary happy I picked The Langham Hotel as our stay. The staff was warm and welcoming and willing to accommodate any need. Located in walking distance from just about everything, The Langham Hotel provided a very knowledgeable staff to get us where we wanted to go or to give suggestions. On my next trip to Boston I will definitely be booking The Langham Hotel.

Very disappointed with our stay at the Boston Langham. Service was poor though out our stay. Waited 15 minutes to be greeted in our car while waiting for valet service. Had to wait in long check out line to ask for an umbrella. Entire lobby level under construction...extremely unattractive - dark, low ceilings, limited space. The room we were given on the 7th floor was very small for a Boston hotel. We called and asked for an extra 30 minutes in the room after checkout time (1pm) and were told no.
We won't be back. Much rather be at Boston Harbor, Four Seasons, the Fairmont Copley or the Taj.
