First of all, now that I've seen this place in person, I can admit that the photos are fairly accurate--but what you probably don't notice is that the room is a dreadful green color, the nightstands are older than I am (and show it), and those fun bedspreads must have been in someone else's room. There was a worn, gigantic, satin-gray bedspread on our king-sized bed, which nearly filled the room. Unfortunately, it didn't cover the bathroom floor, which was clean only in comparison to the baseboards and radiator. Yes, there were hairs.
When we first arrived, the office door was locked and the parking lot was empty. Once we saw the doorbell, we rang it and were greeted and given our key. There were some odd items for sale in the lobby (including a well-dressed doll) and we were glad to head to our room--two doors away. The bed was clean, and reasonably comfortable. When we went out to dinner and when we left in the morning, the office was locked and dark. We never saw another car or person while we were there, although we heard the door next to ours opening and closing through the night.
I realize this was the off-season in a resort area, but that doesn't explain or excuse what we got when we selected this AAA-approved, national chain hotel. My wife said it best the next morning: "This place is gross and kind of creepy. Let's GO."

While the rooms were a little on the small side and could stand a fresh paint job, we found our stay here to be VERY enjoyable! This was due, in no small part, to the absolutely fantastic staff on hand. Their genuine interest and care in our honeymoon stay was refreshing. We left with big smiles on our faces and were a little disappointed to have to leave, It's location was perfect, with easy access to all manner of attractions, recreation and restaurants. If you're looking for an inexpensive, comfortable option then look no further.
