The hotel's decor really made us feel like we were in an alpine chalet.

We arrived at the hotel at around 9:15pm and the front desk was closed but they left our keys so not a problem. Very cozy and cute and has a home like feel. There wasn't an elevator and we had to carry our very heavy luggage up several flights of stairs. Hallways were very narrow and it was exhausting just dealing with the luggage after having traveled 6 hours to get there and leaving early in the morning to catch our flight. I do not recommend this hotel if you are only staying 1 night. Breakfast was served from 7:30 to 9:00 and we missed it because we had to be at the airport by 7:00. It would have been nice for them to have to go cups for coffee. Rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy. I rated staff & service poor because I never saw any staff.

Located close to downtown on a quiet street. The inn was charming, clean & served a wonderful hot & cold breakfast with all of the freshest ingredients. Everything home made. I would stay there again, happily.

We were looking for a great location in downtown JH and the Alpine delivered on that. The feel of the inn was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The only drawback was the size of the room which was small and we opted for a loft as there were four of us. THe loft was just that and it was scary high so not sutable for children otherwise all was good.
