When we arrived, the front desk charged my card in advance for the two day stay. Apparently that is a Ramada 'policy'. Typically that only happens in some of the divier motels I've stayed at, so was surprised that they did this at one that looked fairly nice. Had to get pool towels from the front desk, which is annoying and I was again surprised that they did this at what was supposed to be a nicer hotel... Breakfast area had FAR too few tables, so we just took the food back up to the room on both mornings. Only about 5 tables and some couches for the whole place! Couldn't get into the excellent excercise room with our room key, had to get a special one from the front desk. Again, annoying and when my wife went to the front desk, they said she was told about that when we checked in, so it shouldn't have been a surprise. We were told nothing of the sort. Also, both our cards suddenly stopped working after the 1st night. I took them back to the front desk and she asked if we kept them near a cell phone or another card with a mag stripe. What? I said there is no way both our cards would fail at the same time because of that, even if that were possible. They screwed up and didn't want to admit it. Hot tub was nice, pool was too cold, water slide was ok. In summary, there were no specific things that were REALLY bad, but with the staff's general attitude and the way Ramada seems to run their business, I MUCH prefer the Super 8 across the parking lot, which we stayed at a couple of years ago. Much better value for the money!
