First time staying in New Bern NC we were in town seeing family...and this was close to everything and easy to get around...really enjoy all the sites with the holiday lights. Will stay here when we go back in the Spring.
Location: convenient to "down town" new bern.
good access to highways, bridge to east, routes west.
pleasant views of sound and river estuary.
accommodations: good, clean, quiet. suited my needs.

In New Bern you do get what you pay for. Our first room had mouse droppings in the bed. We found them when we turned down the sheets. The second room was just plain dirty. After the first room experiance I checked the room carefully. ( dead bugs ). We left and went to the Hilton.

We checked in for 1 night to visit family in the local Hospital. This hotel offered the best rate, compared to other hotels in the area. The room was clean and very large. The A/C works very well. Asked for extra pillows and they arrived within 15 mins. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed the Marina. Did not get a chance to dip in the pool, but it looked nice. My only complaint is the Breakfast does not last long enough, it was only for 2 hrs , it ends at 8:30am, i find that a shame when checkout is 11am. I enjoy other hotels who offer the breakfast until at least 9:30 or 10:00am! Overall good stay, and would stay again.
