    We booked this hotel on your recommendation that it was a 5 of 5 stars hotel. The staff was excellent but the rooms were old and in need of renovation. It looked as if it were built in the 70's and had not been updated since. The bathroom fixtures and flooring and the room carpet really need to be upldated.

    The staff were very helpful and courteous. the room was neat and clean and very comfortable. well worth the price and would recommend it to anyone.

    I picked up one of those coupon booklets at a rest area and saw the coupon for the ambassador inn. i stopped at a business about ten miles down the ...

    I picked up one of those coupon booklets at a rest area and saw the coupon for the Ambassador Inn. I stopped at a business about ten miles down the hi-way and asked the lady where she recommended I stay. Without hesitation her first answer was the Ambassador Inn. The coupon was for $** and it was worth every penny of it. Plus they have a great continental breakfast. The bathroom area was a tad small but acceptable and the size of the rest of the room and the firm, yet comfortable, bed made up for it. I live in Michigan and was on vacation in Sep. '08 thru VA., KY., & TN. All the other hotels I stayed in were Best Westerns ( some costing more) and the Ambassador had them all beat hands down! And if you're looking for some of the Jack Daniel's bottles (full) produced over the past 5 years or so, go to Bill's Liquor Store in Manchester or Joe's in Shelbyville.
