Nicaragua's nicest hotel and close to the center of town and the "action". There are no guests allowed up to the room but the front desk speaks fluent english and the food at the restaurant is good. They also offer a great deal on the currency exchange. If you have more than 2 people get a cab from the airport, it will be cheaper than the shuttle.

I travel to Managua a few times a year, and have stayed at the InterContinentals and Holiday Inn, which are fine. This time I got a little better deal on the Princess, where Bill Clinton stayed, and I will definitely be going back.

The property is not new, but I thought it was in excellent condition. My room on the concierge floor was perfectly clean, professionally done with numerous pillows, duvet and premium sheets, all flawless. The staff went way out of their way to help me, calling around to get me directions to a computer store and a church...more difficult there since there is no real system of addresses or street numbers in Nicaragua. My limited Spanish was no problem.

There is parking right under the hotel, but also much more in back, a nice business center, ATM and a good pool. The hotel wraps around the pool, so noise could be an issue, but was not for me...ask for a room that doesn't overlook the pool if you care.
