We stayed in the newest building the Napili building in a one bedroom ocean front villa with a full kitchen. Check in was quick efficient and the staff friendly as they have always been at this resort. The living room and kitchen were a great size but the bedroom a bit small. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony was tiny. We were directly above the pool but high enough up that noise was not an issue. We purchased the Marriott refillable mugs at the cafe and had all the drinks #40hot and cold#41 we could use the entire trip - well worth the money. I liked the fact that you can not get into the building without a room key that seems more secure than some hotels. I loved the room and the amazing view! the small pool in front of the building that was way less crowded than the main pool and the new bar #40it wasnt open every day unfortunately and no food service at the smaller pools#41. Plus the pools are salt water so not so tough on your skin.
If you are staying at this resort be sure to know what you are getting. The Marriotts Ocean Club Napili and Lahaina villas have full kitchen and are brand new buildings the older Maui Ocean Club rooms are converted hotel rooms with partial kitchens but have bigger rooms and balconys. All check in at the same place and share the large main pool and the two smaller pools at the new buildings. For the price and the amount of space you get I dont think you can beat the Maui Marriott for the price. If you want luxury stay at the Ritz or Four Seasons if you want a reasonable priced villa stay here!

This hotel/time share is located on the Ka'anapali shore just north of Lahaina, Maui. The week we stayed there was cold, rainy, and windy, even though Lana'i (island across the channel) and the nearby town of Lahaina was warm and sunny. Go any further north and it just gets windier. The appointments are okay. Typical lovely lobby, pool, and beach for the area known as Ka'anapali with gorgeous sunset views over Lana'i. The lower end rooms have a separate bedroom with bath and a living room with bath and a fold out couch that was quite comfortable with a microwave and small refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. This kitchenette won't allow you to cook, just heat stuff up, but it was okay for the light breakfasts we have. Views range from parkinglot/golf course to ocean view. I gave it a terrible rating on security since we just gave the porter a room number and he opened the room, dropped our baggage, and let us in. We could have been anybody. Good thing we were honest (we were staying with friends who had checked in earlier). All in all a pretty good stay. Glad we were comped, though.
