I felt like this hotel was overly priced especially for not being right on the lake. Complimentary shuttle and shuttle driver incredibly helpful and driver was very kind! Staff at check in desk could care less about you though ... Hotel itself is very well done and kept up beautifully.

The Sheraton is clearly the nicest hotel in Duluth. Like all hotels in Duluth, the prices are increased significantly on Grandma's Marathon weekend, here an additional $100+/night, two night minimum. And the 04:30-06:00 breakfast buffet for the runners actually involved charges - most hotels put on a free buffet. That aside, a comfortable hotel, pleasant staff, nice restaurant, and good downtown location, with free parking in attached garage.

Excellent stay overall. I lived in Duluth for a number of years and have visited numerous times since. The Sheraton is the best I've found in downtown. Far surpasses the overly-glorified Radisson. The large room we stayed in was very clean, spacious, and the unique decor was perfectly styled for a truly Duluth experience. The only complaint we had was the parking situation. You have to park in a public parking ramp directly behind the hotel and every time you leave you have to run down to the front desk to get validated. Even considering the parking, it was still a great value and I plan on staying there many times in the future.

The majority of properties in Duluth are old and run-down. The Sheraton is new, bright and clean - a real exception. I booked a stay for some friends coming into Duluth for the first time and they were very happy. The rooms are on the large size, well appointed for business travelers and well kept. The staff was extremely helpful with dining recommendations, directions, etc. and just generally friendly and concerned with the quality of our stay.
The room service food was well prepared and promptly delivered. The hotel is close to lake-walk access and sits on the main drag downtown.
The only minor negatives is that the hotel is not connected to the downtown indoor skywalk (this would only be a factor during the 9 months of winter) and that the "connected" parking is a bit circuitous to get to.
