Always arrive tired from a long day of travel and know everything here will be just about perfect. Regardless of the hour(s) we (I) check in, the front staff here is superb. They are continually friendly, helpful, and even seem to go out of their way to make the stay the best it can be. The housekeepers to be pleasant and responsive to special needs.
Breakfast is darned good, especially for a free continental type, with a surprising variety and number of choices, with more hot foods than most other places; baked goods are always quite fresh. Even the regular rooms are spacious enough, and the mattresses and the bedding, are terrific.
They have also welcomed our (very well-behaved) dog on several occasions. Free parking and hi-speed in-room (also free) internet , newspapers and free fresh cookies in the evening are pluses, too, as is the rather extensive commissary off the lobby that sells quite a selection of foods, snacks and juices/beverages for late-arriving traveler who skipped eating on the plane.
The only negatives are 1) no restaurant on the premises (but this is mitigated by the nice restaurant in the lobby of the hotel next door, within a very easy walk, or , if raining, just hop the airport bus, which serves both hotels every 30 minutes and get off at the other hotel door.) You can also get pizza delivery to the room, if you are in the mood for room service; would be nice to have more choices from other nearby restaurants. and,
2) Only the suites have microwaves or mini fridges in the rooms, and this is a real oversight on the part of a hotel that otherwise makes everything so comfortable and simple.
We always stay here, unless we absolutely need to be in downtown Halifax early in the AM for some reason. This place is a gem.

Taking a taxi there is not very practical since they charge $* minimum - so it will be $* to take a taxi. The shuttle runs twice an hour during the day - I assume it has the same schedule at night but very late at night may require a phone call to the hotel.
Overall, would stay there again.

We stayed the night before our trip to Cuba. Wish I could have taken the bed with us. Very pleasant front staff, comfortable room. Stay, park & fly - why wouldn't you choose this option. We live only an hour away from the airport and will take advantage of this option in the future. Bon Voyage.
