I figured with the amount I was spending it would be a nice room. The room itself was poorly appointed, they charged a crazy amount for a small bottle of water and the view was of an unkempt courtyard with weeds! The room itself looked dated or poorly decorated... There are better options out there for the amount they were charging for the room.

Two night stay in August. Clean, high quality hotel with friendly, helpful staff. However, I would not stay here again because of all the added costs beyond the basic hotel rate, some of which are very difficult to avoid. $*/day for valet parking, $*/day for an internet connection which was very slow at the lower rate, $* apiece for small bottles of water in the room, the list goes on. I am not used to high quality hotels that charge extra for such things as an internet connection, and for us at least the high quality of the hotel and its friendly young staff was offset by the rapaciousness of the hotel's owner, Marriot Corp. A hotel such as this one that is not near many attractions, restaurants, etc. needs to do everything better and not gouge its customers.

Visiting Boston for the first time, we four southern women had an incredible experience! The hotel was perfect! We were upgraded a room on the 16th floor which overlooked the city and the harbor-it was a fantastic view. The front desk was very friendly and oh so helpful-it was hospitality with a southern style. The Renaissance was absolutely beautiful!! I've been to NYC at least eleven times on vacation---Boston has won my heart. The hotel in on the south end which was away from all the hub-bub. We purchased a CharlieCard at Logan for $* and never spent any more money for travel in Boston. We hopped on the transit 50 feet from our hotel and off we went to the city. Eat at the Barking Crab--it is close to the hotel. Regina's pizza is also a place you need to go for lunch. Simon from The Food Network was there when we visited. He posed with us for pictures. The Liberty Clipper was a serene yet enjoyable adventure in which you can take great pictures of the city and the surrounding islands. A totally wonderful experience for the girls from NC.

the hotel was really nice everyone there was really helpful with us. the resturant they have inside the hotel was really nice the buffet is pricy but its worth it. the only issue is the parking you are better off parking your own car the valet's do not treat your car to nice they speed around with your car one almost hit me when i was pulling out of my parking spot. other then that the hotel is really nice.
