Great hostel, great staff; great shop steve -- Nov 27, 2009 10:58 am My girlfriend and i stayed at the blue trailz hostel for 2 weeks and loved every minute of staying there. We arrived late in the wet season as the tourists started to pile into town, and the shop was always busy with rentals, board purchases, ding repairs, etc. The staff were super friendly and helpful with all of the tours that we booked, and even gave us a super great deal on a shuttle back to the airport. The hostels rooms were super roomy, with the private rooms hosting 1 bunk bed and 2 double beds, enough to sleep a full family or 6 people; while the dorm rooms have 3 bunks, enough to sleep 6 aswell. They had a huge selection of boards, from stand up paddle boards, beginner soft tops, to shorty carvers, and a huge lineup of different brands like the famous robert august boards, al merrick, rusty, and a few others. Location was great, only being steps away from the beach. Overall our stay was flawless, and we had some good rates in the shop from staying at the hostel. We will be back again soon and highly recommend this place. good plece, but not for board rental Chad -- Nov 02, 2009 06:00 pm The hostel is fine, but kind of a empty place, there was nobody when i was there and for board rental, there are just epoxy boards, not for good surfers, i got my at Costa Rica Surf Club there is a better selection of performance boards in epoxy and fiber glass. Great Hostel!!! Max -- Jul 10, 2009 01:32 pm The place is awesome! It is right across the street from the beach, and close to everything. My girlfirend and I stayed for a week last month. The employees are really nice and give you discounts on surf tours, bike rentals if you stay at the hostel. Great beach hostel!! |
