I was a guest at Hostel Five for a week, and it was a very pleasant experience, the staff spoke English, and are astute to the guest needs.

You must take the opportunity to have conversation with Vanessa she speaks from the heart and will go out of her way to help.
I recommend hostel 5 if you wish to get away from the all night party crowd. And have a rest;

I came to Antigua for my last few days before flying home, expecting to stay at one of the more party-oriented hostels like Jungle party or Black Cat. However, I came here first on a recommendation from a friend and it seemed really nice inside, so I stayed. The beds are extremely comfortable, the place is new and the food is really good and cheaper than most surrounding places. The girls working there are really friendly and a lot of fun, too. This is a nice alternative to the well-traveled backpacker path and I'd give it a try before going anywhere else.
