This hotel has all of the basics amenities you need, and is very clean. The layout of the room leaves something to be desired, but overall, there were no complaints with my stay. The complimentary breakfast is excellent!

For a first time visitor to Notre Dame I did not know where to stay. We picked the Hyatt because we like Hyatt Place from past experiences. But to start the pool in the photo is not the pool there and I asked when booking. The actual pool was small, cloudy and not heated and even in July was very cold. But the worst was the overall smell from the cleaning solution it made us just about sick. I witnessed the cleaning crew pouring it on everything no wonder it was overwhelming. We kept them out the entire trip and by day three it was almost gone. Also baseball teams were very loud until very early in the morning and though that is not the fault of the hotel they could have tried to control the noise better. If you go to South Bend my recommendation is price no problem stay at the Fairfield, on a budget stay at the Ivy Court. Both seem much better choices.
