Great Place

Marie -- Oct 06, 2014 10:41 am
This is a great place to stay, I found this hostel via an internet search. I must say it was higher than my expected expectations. You can't beat the price which was what first attracted me. The rooms are very clean and nice. There are three bathrooms that are shared, but they are always kept clean as well, and never had an issue with getting into use one when needed. There are aprox 4-5 parking spots for those with a car. It is first come first serve for parking and if you are out past 8 pm you just might have to park on one of the side streets. Beware of time frames depending where you park as you might need to move your car in the morning to be avoid being towed. I have returned on several occasions always completely satisfied with my experience. It is centrally located and near most of the major attraction in downtown LA or a short buz/train ride or drive away to other attractions. Remember though this is not one of the party hostels and that is why it appeals I like the peace and quiet, and yet have encountered other very pleasant guests. I highly recommend Stay on Beverly! *In the process of booking my next stay :)

Awesome Stay

I stayed here with a friend for three nights, we found the rooms very comfertable and contained everything you could need. Complimentary hot drinks and internet were a huge bonus. The location was ideal for two British tourists looking to see Hollywood and the touristy side of LA.

Rooms all seemed to have a new feel, whilst the bathrooms were stunning complete with complimentary shower gel and shampoo.

Would definitely recommend and will stay again if I am back in LA.

I loved EVERYTHING -Including location

Just like the title says, I LOVED everything about this place.
Fiance loved it too.
Everything was much better than expected!
I stayed from Oct 14th-21st 2011.

This place is GENIUS for the traveler who isn't looking for a party pad--
This is where I will stay for my next trip to LA, if Bo will have me!!!

It is clean, quiet & mature.
Meaning if you are on a business trip, you WILL get a good night's sleep!

The whole concept of this place is just SMART!!! Even down to the energy saving lighting, the 2 choice flush toilets, the wonderfull rainfall like showers. The georgeous tile in the bathrooms. There's not much that hasn't been thought of!

If you are self sufficient--this place is perfect!

They have a kitchenette, which is a shared area with a wonderful Kuerig coffee maker, coffee/tea/coco etc is stocked & available at all times, as well as a microwave, sink.
There is also a super easy printer & a quaint little sitting area that's always clean.

The bathrooms are immaculate & just flat out pretty.
The showers have shampoo & conditioner dispensers.
There are 3 bathrooms & each is BEAUTIFUL.
The towels are thick & the sheets are a nice cotton.

The is a very well maintained place & I hope it stays just like it is!!!
Bo is one of the nicest people you could meet, & checked in on us the 1st morning to make sure we were OK, as we arrived late in the evening the previous night.

***This location is convenient to everything.***

The buses & metro in LA are extremely easy to navigate.
Stayon Beverly is right on the 14 line(bus)-stops right there, you can bus back & forth to Beverly Hills, Cedar's Sinai.

You can take the 207(bus) up Western to Hollywood Blvd.

You can also walk to either the purple line (Rail-closest abt 10 min walk) or the red line (Rail-about 15 min walk).

***If you are coming from the airport--just take the Flyaway Bus ($7) to Union station.
Then once at Union Station get on the Purple line (rail) to Western ($1.50) which is the last stop on that line. You can either walk to Beverly Blvd or take the 207 (bus) up Western to Beverly Blvd.
We walked from the Purple line, with our carry-on luggage-- it was EASY.***

The neighborhood is good, Mid-Wilshire/Koreatown. As the name would imply, it is mostly Korean, & there is a nice Korean Market just a 1/2 block from the Hostel to stock your mini fridge.
There is a nice 24 hour diner just across the street on Western & a good place for Korean Food (look for the Pipers sign 1 side is Korean bar & rest the other is the diner). There is a laundromat around the corner, plenty of places to eat-both ethnic & american!

What you see in the pictures is EXACTLY what you get, with the exception that it is actually nicer in person!
The rooms are small, & safe, clean & comfortable.

The memory foam mattresses are a god-send at the end of the day!
My best sleep in months was at this hostel-I will be buying a memory foam mattress!

Each room also has a flat screen TV with remote, a mini fridge & a small wall safe that you set the code for, desk, end table, lamp--if you view the website you will see just how it is.

What you get here is an extremely clean & safe place to sleep with some *really great extras*, for an *excellent price*--The security codes are easy enough to use & a great idea.

We walked this neighborhood a LOT even at odd hours & never had any issues.
I never felt unsafe even by myself at night, & I am a petite female.

There is a small parking lot in front for those who will be driving.

This is a non-smoking facility.

Also, 2 blocks over is Beverly Hot Springs--for those wanting some extra indulgence!!!
Natural thermal spas-from 2200 feet down- It is a seriously layed out spa!!!
We didn't realize this until our last day, unfortuneately,-but WILL definately be trying this out out next time around-they have a website as well.

For those of you who are traveling on a budget & are looking for a clean, mature, & well kept, safe place to rest your head, & wanting a good night sleep--this IS the place, it is quiet at night & I promise you will love the beds as well as the bathrooms!

This was my 1st experience with a Hostel, & really, since the rooms are private & security locked, it's more like a hotel.
Actually, Bo runs this place so well--the common areas & the bathrooms are so clean-you'll forget it's shared!-you will have plenty of hot water-no matter what time of the day.

Good place , Nice price !

i really like this place. The place is really nice and clean. The room is also very good compare to price.By the way , if you want to have 1 more person in the room you have to pay 10$ more. The bath room is also very clean. what i like the most for this place , except free hi-speed internet , is security system. When you want to get through the front door you have to input 6 digits and when you get in you have to input 6 digits more to get in your room.

if you're traveling by yourself , this place is very nice place to stay in LA !

Stay on Beverly - I WANT TO COME BACK! It's an ama

Birgit -- Mar 31, 2010 04:30 pm
I had the pleasure to have a couple of days/nights on Stay on Beverly. There was one sad part to it. I didn't want to leave!

The time while being there I felt so good and welcomed. I'm still thinking of the bathrooms - which are highest specs and most beautiful. One day I would like to have a bathroom just like that at my own house. In the bathroom there is a rain-shower-head!

Everything in the room was so much more than I could have wished for. The mattress, the pillows the lighting ………. Everything. Wifi and a desk are in the room. And every day there was a bottle of fresh water waiting for me in my room.

During my stay I met two other people who stayed there at the same time as I did. Both of them were actors. We had some great conversations in the hallway. Stay on Beverly attracts interesting, artistic and bohemian people I think. But this place is affordable to everybody. It is priced so well.

One thing I know for sure. I can't wait to visit Stay on Beverly again. Hopefully in the next 12 month.

New Renovated, Clean, and Comfortable

R. -- Mar 26, 2010 09:24 pm
I loved this place. It's a newly renovated hostel style hotel, clean, modern and convenient. My cousin and I stayed here. We each had our own private room. Easy access, no keys necessary, just a good memory so you can use the coded door locks. The memory foam mattresses were so great after a long drive into LA. There's a safe in every room too. The shared bathrooms were spotless, easily accessible and were well stocked with soap and shampoo. The free wi-fi made it easy for me to check on work, and stay in touch with friends and family.

I would definitely recommend this place to all who seek a clean comfortable reasonably priced place to stay in LA.
