Wonderful Indian wildlife adventure

With only a two week window, we had set ourselves the ambitious goal of seeing India’s ‘big five’ - Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Asiatic Lion, One-horned Rhinoceros and Indian Elephant - while trying to see over 200 species of birds and a good cross-section of the country’s environment.

Having seen costs spiral, and itineraries collapse, as we tried to book everything ourselves we came across Indian Wildlife Adventures. From the very first contact Sharad was unfailingly helpful, helping us to refine our itinerary, suggest the best possible accommodation (all of which proved excellent) and then booking it all on our behalf.

The result was a truly wonderful trip, taking in Kaziranga, Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Gir. To our surprise, by seeing two usually secretive leopards on our penultimate safari we completed our goal – and also saw well over 200 bird species.

I would not hesitate to recommend Sharad to anyone with an interest in wildlife looking to maximise their time in India. Our trip ran without a hitch, and as a bonus Sharad even gave us a personal whistle-stop tour of Delhi.
