Drinks are good - if you are a drinker - you will like the fact that you can drink all you want!
The food is TERRIBLE. We had a hard time finding something to eat that we liked. We did finally eat Hibachi and it was very good.
They tried to push us into a time share sales pitch as soon as we checked in. It gave us a bad taste as soon as we got there. We paid for this vacation - and had no desire to spend any time listening to someone try and sell us something.
Between the terrible food and the time share sales pitch - we were turned off and will not be visiting another Secrets resort.

We will never go anywhere else. From the time we arrived at the resort untill the the time we left, our every need was taken care of. The entertainment was awesome. There was something different every night. We had some of the best food we have ever had at the many different cultural restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and more than eager to get us whatever we wanted. We were there last week for our 20th wedding anniversary. On the day of our anniversary we had a champagne breakfast in bed, a couples message in afternoon, and a Wine & Champagne dinner next to the ocean with a mountain view. What a wonderful anniversary! The staff was the very best. Devon, Michael & Nadine at the pool bar at St. James was the first employees that we met. These three were very friendly when we met them and we felt as if they were our friends all the way to the last day of our trip. Travis at the Italian resturant on our first night was great. He is a very personable person and we loved our conversation with him. The Entertainment crew Mello & Sky at the St. James pool made the days at the pool lively and they interacted with everyone and everyone fill as if we were all there together. Mello & Sky also kept up the fun all through the week, all the way down to our last night we were there on July 4th. We took a sail boat ride with Stuart. He was very professional and showed us a good time. Yvette and Erniel kept the drinks coming while we were on the beach. They awesome all week. Naomi and Steven in house sevices took care of our every need for our room. Also thanks to Michael W. Our belman for giving us the V.I.P. treatment from the time we arrive until we left. We miss this place already. See you soon St. James.

The hotel property was great no issues there. I agree with the one of the other commenters on the statement that the staff was a bit jumpy about tips. I found this very uncomfortable to be expected to tip for every little service after paying for all inclusive service. The nightly rate is not exactly a give away sale price. From the bell hops carrying your bags which by the way can get a bit carried away with their comments. Over all the hotel was great and would return.
