The location is great. Dunns River Falls is a short distant. Not far from Run Away Bay. Shops are all around. Supermarkets are right there. We walked to and from supermarkets when we need to shop for food. There is a reasonably sized stove, fridge and microwave to do your thing in the kitchen. Balcony had a good view of the big ships docking and the water sports activities. The staff was very friendly. They even remembered me from a previuos visit. When ever visiting Ocho, I will be staying at Fishermans Point Resort.

I caught sight of this through a vacation package news letter which I had signed up for. It seemed too good to be true but hey I took it up anyway and just enjoyed the heck out of it. I was travelling alone for the first time out of the U.S. I did all the paranoid things I could think of and even visited the CIA?s website to see what I could dig up on the country. The resort was more than ok for what I paid. The people where friendly but not overly friendly and it reassured me that I was safe. There?s tons to do there so don?t be a dud and just hang around or you?ll just end up being miserable and find fault of everything. I?ll go back if they continue making the packages so affordable.
I've also realised that the rsort has year round promotions on their website so visiting them first before booking online may get you a better price.

It was awesome. The girl at the front desk was just great in helping us arrange daytime activities as well as enjoy the night life. She got us started with renting a car and providing a local map for us to ?rough it? around town. The service was way beyond what we expected as reservations were made for all the activities we wanted to do as well as taxi service. The guys by the pool were great too. The resort is clean and cozy and the only problem which occurred was an air conditioning unit which was in the fritz. The overall experience was way cool

This was my sixth time in Ocho Rios and the first time staying at this resort. While I was sceptical at first about what to expect, I proceeded with my booking as Travelagent provided a very attractive rate based on my search by amenities. The first thing to point out is that after basically sampling all the small hotels in the area I can conclude that:
1 Fisherman's Point gets you a much bigger room for close to the same price as the other resorts
2. Their location is undoubtably the best if you're into partying and restaurants
3. Wehen compared to the other resorts, tyhey only offer suites with kitchens and living rooms, whereas eveywhere else gives you a regalar hotel room consisting of bed and bath facilities.
4. No activities besides the restaurant, bar and pool are located on-site but just outside each of the resort's two entrances you'll find something worth doing. The beach in the rear and a shopping mall out front. The restaurant is pretty popular with the area's tourists, but I feel the drinks are a bit overpriced.
5. Front Desk doubles as concierge to reserve all tour and airport shutlles
6. A massage therapist is on call daily
7. The grounds are well kept and actually have fruit trees
