Jeep Tours in Sao Miguel

Two fantastic day tours with Pedro Rodrigues: one to the Nordeste area in the east; the other to the Sete Cidades area in the west. Landrovers are not the most comfortable forms of transport but we certainly got to see places we would never get in a tourist coach (and no tourists hanging about either!): through the mists in the mountains to the east and right round the rim of the lakes at Sete - we even got to saw two separate Priolo. My wife is not the most courageous of passengers over certain terrain, but we never had a moments concern, despite some tracks being washed away and the vehicle wobbling all over the place. Lunch was basic (local cuisine in local cafes) but more than adequate and we didn't want to waste too much time eating when we could be out there having fun. We're pensioners, so these trips are not just for the young. Thoroughly recommend it and, if we get back to The Azores, we'll head straight for Pedro.

What a great Tour we had with Pedro - Very informative guide about such a wonderful Island. I only hope that one day I can return and see the other half of S. Miguel island. Fully recomend it !!
