Next time we will stay near the square. Arrived to check in at 3:30pm and found a deserted lobby and had to wait 5+ minutes for someone to appear to check us in. When we returned to the hotel after dinner we got comfortable in the room and turned the TV on only to find a very obvious blue line all the way down the screen (line of pixels was bright blue from top to bottom). We tried to live with it but eventually gave up and decided to go to the lobby for a solution. After standing there for another 5 minutes waiting for someone to appear from the back I asked for a solution. The clerk said he could put in a work order but it wouldn’t be looked at until the next day. I had to ask for another room since it was clear they had no intention of offering one. They told me that we would need to change floors and I declined since I didn’t want to move all our stuff. After returning to the room we decided the TV was completely unwatchable and went back to the desk to get the other room. After waiting the required 5 minutes for them to emerge from the back I was transferred to another room. No apology or any type of hospitality was offered. If you receive room 110 I would bet that the TV is still unwatchable. Although the rooms were well appointed, the hotel appears understaffed and not well maintained. The small details in the rooms were disappointing. Broken TV, dirty counter, missing battery cover on remote and fridge that was humming all night long. Spend a few extra bucks and stay near the square.

Good all the way around, but for one thing which is now so common in hotels - the wash sink is no longer in the toilet/shower-bath room, but directly in the sleeping area, in front of the beds, in this particular room. In a double, if one wants to rise early, the morning ablutions can be (and are) disturbing the later sleeper.

The room was very clean and thoroughly modern. We didn't make many requests, but the staff was helpful when we did. It's located about 20 minutes from The Plaza and 5 minutes from the outlet mall. If we ever go back to Santa Fe, we will stay here again. My only minor complaint would be that its driveway can only be entered from the Northbound lane of a major street, so if you are coming from town, you will need to make a U-turn to get in. That wasn't a problem for me, but if you're a very nervous driver, you might have a worse time of it.

At first I had a difficult time finding the hotel. It's located way south of Cerrillo, but I was so surprised and glad because it is new, clean, welcoming, etc. They could inprove the breakfast some and provide some omeles, quiches, etc, like the Inn on the Alameda does. But overall, I was happy to stay there.
