My husband and I were mainly looking for a nice beach and lots of relaxation which we certainly found here. This is not a fancy place with top class comforts, frills and stars. But it is clean, comfortable and safe and the service is excellent. If you're looking for someplace to unwind and relax, this is the place. It was convenient in terms of driving to the many activities that were available such as the rain forest, Old San Juan, kayaking, hiking and many others. Maria who we interacted with quite often was very pleasant, knowledgeable, kind and went out of her way to make sure that we had a wonderful holiday in Puerto Rico. She offered and helped us to book our rental car and various trips. We stayed on the third floor which had a wonderful view of the ocean. A full free breakfast was offered every morning. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

We stayed here for a week just this past week. We're not into the big casino type hotels and this is my family's hometown, so we wanted to be nearby.
I liked everything about this place. The secure parking/locked pedestrian gates were a huge bonus and I felt very safe.
We had one issue with our room, a hose came loose from the AC in the wall, and leaked water all over the floor. Initially we didn't know where the water was coming from, so they immediately accomodated us with another room at the same price and fixed the leak right away. They let us stay in the upgraded room at no extra charge for the rest of the time.
The breakfast was great, lots of choices like fresh exotic fruit and juices, cereals, breads and pastries. The hot breakfast was always very filling and well prepared. French toast and the omelet were my favs. The best parts were eating overlooking the ocean every morning and meeting the other guests.
This inn is literally right across the street from the beach and walking distance to Guavas, a small restaurant that serves good food and has excellent service. The other restaurant around the corner, Pasta y Pueblo, was supposed to be wonderful but they were closed the week we were there. There is yet another place, Rincon de Sabor, that served shrimp so tender they melted in my mouth. Wow!!! The owner is a very colorful guy and he will offer you his special "moonshine".
The rooms are spacious and private. We had a balcony in both rooms and loved going outside just to watch the waves and sunrises/sunsets. They also have satellite TV in the rooms with lots of channel options, so you feel right at home.
The only sad thing was the town itself is very rundown. A lot of vacant lots and closed businesses. Very different from years ago, when I was coming to visit my family a lot. However, walking around at night was never an issue. Locals hang around the beach at night, but everyone leaves you alone. They just listen to music and surf until it gets dark.
I'm coming back again this summer, and I can say that I would definitely stay here again.

Luquillo Beach Inn is a charmer! Across the street from a surfing beach and within easy walking distance to other beautiful beaches in Luquillo. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and their breakfast offers a fresh cooked daily offering in addtion to the usual fruits, cereals and pastries. Close to El Yunque and they even provide a park map when checking in. I debated between Luquillo and Fajardo when planning a stay in this area and was very pleased with the decision to stay here.
