    Midas hotel was just what we expected. the rooms look exactly as in the pics! we slept at a cabana and then were upgraded to a deluxe room. too bad ...

    Midas hotel was just what we expected. The rooms look exactly as in the pics! We slept at a cabana and then were upgraded to a deluxe room. Too bad the walls are so thin and we could hear the honeymooners next door (if you know what I mean!). The hotel staff was nice enough to let us move to a different deluxe room, a lot quieter. Breakfast was awesome not included but very affordable. They also schedule all of our tours and transportation, which was very convenient. We loved San Ignacio and the people from Belize!

    Loved Midas. It was on the edge of town. Just a short walk to the town center. The rooms in the hotel have been renovated and are beautiful. I stayed in a cabana which was rustic but clean. The patio around the pool is still under construction but the pool itself is open and I loved it. They built a room under the waterfall that you have to swim into. So much fun. I did think breakfast was over-priced. Go to the french bakery in town. Very inexpensive and excellent pasteries.
