The Heron is one of several of the Colony Suites in historic Key West, Florida. A conch style cottage nestled in the heart of Historic Old Town Key West, just three blocks from the world famous Duval Street with its incredible art galleries, boutiques, museums, attractions, restaurants, music and night life. One bedroom with king bed, queen sleep sofa, kitchen, one bath, private patio. Shared pool and coin operated laundry. Tropical foliage, fishpond, nestled away on Olivia Street a true "oasis" only steps away from all the excitement and wonder in this historic island city at the southernmost point in the US! There is also off street parking on a first come first serve basis. The cottages are decorated in shades of beige and green reminiscent of old Florida but with modern amenities that make you never want to leave. Unit sleeps max 4 people.

trying to get the Parrotheads fired up and sell alot of albums? Either way, he was right on the mark It's a whole 'nuther world down here. Time slows down time stops time, understood as a human construct imposed on the world,
has no meaning. In the Keys, life is governed by the rising and setting of the sun, by the ebb and flow of the tides, by hurricane season and oyster season, by and this is probably the most critical factor of all the hour at which the owner of your favorite tiki bar decides to roll
out of bed and open up shop (which can vary wildly from day to day).
The entire archipelago includes two distinct groups of islands the Upper Keys, from Key Largo to Bahia Honda, and the Lower Keys, from Big Pine Key to the fashionable Key West. Key West called "Cayo Hueso," or "island of bones" by the Spanish, referring to remains of sailors drowned by storms was acquired from the Spanish for just $2,000 in 1821. The island has since become synonymous with literary figures Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway purchased his historic Whitehead Street house on Key West during the 1930s, where he wrote Death in the Afternoon, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and To Have and Have Not. Nowadays, Key West is filled with artists, writers, gays, and musicians. The town of Key West contains a host of unique shops, restaurants, accommodations, and nightlife options on land, and also serves as point of departure for numerous fishing charters and excursions. But by far the most popular ritual is the nightly sunset celebration at Mallory Square cheers arise as the sun sinks below the horizon. In fact, watching the sun set has been elevated to an art form everywhere on these islands.
