We offer three different kayak tours. 1.)3 hour wildlife tour by kayak.2.) 5Hour Orca Search by Kayak.3.) Outer Island Kayak Tour. All include a short lesson and see a great deal of wildlife. The 5hour tour offers the extra time to see Orca Whales from your kayak. We launch from finger docks so you are immediately on the water heading out. We also offer Whale Watching/Wildlife Tours by Boat and see whales from our boats over 90% of our tours. In addition, we rent small motor boats and sit on top kayaks from our Roche Habor docks.

About Small Group Sea Kayaking
We believe that in order to ensure the best possible experience, a kayak tour company should limit the amount of guests on each trip. Our day trips are limited to 810 guests per guide. Our multiday tours are limited to 4 guests per guide, with a maximum of 8 guests on the trip (bring 4 or more guests and we will close the trip and you will have a private kayak camping adventure!).

Orca Waters The San Juan Islands

Imagine yourself in a kayak flowing down a broad ribbon of blue water. Surrounding you are more islands than you can count, and in the distance, you see snowcapped mountain peaks. Your flotilla of companions rounds a headland crowned by an old lighthouse, and suddenly, they appear. A pod of twenty orcas rises to the surface, their sixfoot dorsal fins cutting straight for your group. Your senses are filled by their awesome presence explosive exhalations echo from the cliffs, the smell of fishy breath drifts on the breeze, and a seventon bull harmlessly breaches amid a thunderous splash. Glistening blackandwhite hulks gently glide through your flotilla without so much as rocking a single kayak. Gradually the family of whales rounds the point and leaves your sight &8211 but the memory stays with you forever.

Our paddling routes are carefully planned to traverse the most important whale habitats. And our skilled guides are able to utilize their years of experience to help bring about an encounter.
