Things are a bit different around these parts. Life moves slower. It is quieter and somehow more gentle. You feel those differences as you ride your bike along, occasionally waving to a farmer behind his team or to a family in a buggy. The fun part is the shock of seeing the teenagers on roller blades hanging onto the back of the buggy as the family goes to town. That's what we love about riding in Amish country. You never know what you are going to see. You just know it's going to bring a smile to your face.

When our friends here heard we were putting together bike tours in Amish country, they all said the same thing Are you going to Stoudts Microbrewery festival?

Why, yes we are! In fact, weve done that one, one better. Pennsylvania soil is terrific for growing grapes. Our wine industry is young, but hearty. What, we thought, could possibly be more fun than pedaling along the smooth back roads of Amish wine country on our way to a German microbrew festival?
