We run two very special rivers the New River and the Gauley River.The New River is perfect for first timers and seasoned rafters alike. There are two sections of the New River the Upper New a trip for the younger rafters age 6 and up and the Lower New, full of roller coaster waves great for those 12 years of age and older.The Gauley River is famous for its fall trips that are run when water is released from the Summersville Dam starting after Labor Day and has two sections the Lower Gauley and the Upper Gauley. For over 35 years, Appalachian Wildwaters has been bringing people and rivers together for unforgettable outdoor experiences. Along the way, we have added camping, tents on platofrms, rustic cabins, RV sites, and a base camp with a restaurant, outfitters store, Fire Creek Lodge and Conference Center, Red Dog River Saloon, pool and 18 person hot tub to make things easy and relaxing for you.So gather your friends and family and head to the river to refresh your spirit!
