Our apartment, at the ground floor of a quiet middleclass block in a historic environment, is perfectly accessible, on the one hand (a nice walk from Dli Railway Station, and by tram or bus from most points of the city there is a night bus service as well nearby) on the other hand, it is only a few minutes' walk to reach the grocery store, the post office, the bank, the florist, the church ... should you intend to take a wife when tipsy.
It takes a 10minute walk to the Royal Castle with Matthias Church /this took several days for the Turkish invaders/ you can make it to Clark dm Square with the Chain Bridge in 5 minutes and the bustling Inner City is only two bus stops away retro trains and the retro metro are two tram stops away.

The apartment is extremely quiet as it is situated on the ground floor on the rear side of the building, on Asboth utca, which is a no through road with minimal traffic. However once you step outside the buildings front door and turn the corner you find yourself in one of the most vibrant parts of the city. The apartment looks out onto a shady green and flowery terrace, which can be used by guests for relaxing after a long day of discovering the city.
In Budapest, location is everything

Everything that a visitor to Budapest could wish for is within minutes walk of the apartment, including supermarkets, currency exchange offices, ATMs, numerous fastfood and other restaurants including MacDonalds, Pizza Hut, Subway, to name but a few, in addition to traditional Hungarian restaurants, Kosher restaurants and all types of international restaurants.

Directly opposite the apartment is a lowcost lunch cafeteria and a few doors further the Castro Bisztro coffee house. A pharmacy is one minutes walk away and a SecondHand English book store and the English language Merlin Theatre are within 5 minutes walk.

The Central Synagogue, the largest in Central and Eastern Europe is located within 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment at the start of the area that was the Jewish Ghetto during the Second World War. The St. Stephens Basilica is located 57 minutes walk.

About 7 minutes walk away are the wellknown Vaci utca, the main pedestrian shopping street of Budapest and the Central Market Hall. Another couple of minutes walk from either of these will bring you to the banks of the River Danube, with its magnificent views of the Budapest Castle, Citadel and bridges.

For access to parts of Budapest outside of the immediate area, public transport by bus, tram or via the metro is just a 23 minute walk from the apartment at Dak Square, which is the main intersection for the whole of the Budapest metro system.
A bus service to the Castle Area on the Buda side of the Danube runs from Dak Square.
