Otavalo is situated in a valley of Imbabura province, surrounded by Vulcanoes Imbabura, Cotacachi and Fuya Fuya. The province is famous for it's lakes Laguna San Pablo, Lago Cuicocha, Lagunas Mojanda y Lago Yahuarcocha, which you can all easily visit on a day trip. In town of course there is the famous Saturday market (which is a every day market, only Saturday is larger). Outside town you can visit the villages where the weavers live and see them work go hiking or horse riding in the hills around Otavalo and visit the Parque Cndor a rescue center for raptor birds or the Peguche waterfall. In weekends you'll find some nightlife in the local peabars, where local indian music is combined with a night out. During the week and in weekends you can enjoy yourself in the evening in one of Otavalo's restaurants.

Our hotel/hostel is located on Isla Grande in the archipelago of Islas de Rosario where we have a small private beach pool (saltwater) and seven cabins with a total of thirty beds. We have shared rooms which are ideal for backpackers, but we also supply private bungalows with air conditioning and private bathrooms. We can also accommodate guests in hammocks if desired.

We have a special price US$75.00 per person per night, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and rum (National Drink!) included.

The hotel is located approximately one hour by boat from Cartagena and the cost of the boat trip is US$9.00.

Islas del Rosario is an archipelago located twenty nautical miles from Cartagena and is surrounded by coral reefs. We supply snorkelling and scuba diving gear and can organize trips for you if required.

We speak English Spanish, Norwegian, Danish, German, and Norwegian.
