This house contains design elements from various styles popular in Prince Edward Island at the time of its construction in 1878. It is the classic L-shaped farm house style with a projecting front-gabled wing and covered verandah. The bay window is of late Georgian style and the fretwork on the eaves of the verandah is Gothic Revival.
