The tour of Zrmanja starts from Obrovac, where the river continues to flow through the canyon filled with greenery and vegetation characteristic for karstic terrains. Immediately in front of the town, on the right side lies the local cemetery built on the remains of a Benedictine monastery, and further down the river on the left there is the chapel of St. Nicholas, testifying that Zrmanja has always been an important waterway for many centuries
