Renowned for being the birthplace of the famous Bluenose and Bluenose II, the town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia has a long, proud seafaring history that continues to be reflected in its picturesque waterfront. The Town of Lunenburg offers visitors many architectural delights. Houses, businesses, churches and public buildings from the late 1700s and particularly early 1800s are still being used today (Architectural Tour). The Town's German heritage has been maintained and promoted and the history of the fishing industry has been captured in the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic (Places to Play). In 1992, the Government of Canada designated "Old Town" Lunenburg as a National Historic District. In 1995, the World Heritage Committee, under the auspices of UNESCO, recognized Lunenburg's cultural and natural heritage by adding it to their World Heritage List.

All rooms have luxurious, environmentally conscious and allergy free queen or king size beds, en-suite bathrooms, WiFi, TV (dvd), minibar, safe, telephone, and air-conditioning. Other amenities include good morning breakfast buffett, business center, exercise room, cosy parlour, winter garden, and laundry facility.
The historic architecture of our Inn means that our rooms and suites are truly unique. Rooms differ in size and layout but all offer tasteful décor and our Attic suite offers a private balcony with views over the Lunenburg harbour, golf course and local architecture.

From the Halifax International Airport (YHZ) to the Mariner King Inn (Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes)
Exit Airport onto Hwy 102 South towards Halifax. After about 7 km the Highway splits in a Y configuration. Stay to your right and continue on this part of the Highway until you reach Exit 1. Here you transfer over to Hwy 103 towards Yarmouth (Peggys Cove). Follow Hwy. 103 to Exit 11 ( about 70 km). At the end of the exit ramp make a left turn to Lunenburg. Stay on this road for 16 km, you pass two four way stops, and you now have reached the Town of Lunenburg. On the second 4 way stop proceed straight ahead and the road again splits in a Y configuration. Stay to the left and continue until you see in front of you an Esso gas station. Continue straight ahead, up the hill. You are now on Lincoln Street. Proceed into Town till you get to King Street. Make a right on King Street and you see the Mariner King on your right. Welcome home.
