Day 1 Marrakech to Dades Valley
We will make an early morning departure from Marrakesh to cross the Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. 
We will stop for lunch at UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. After lunch we will continue through the Skoura Oasis, where numerous ancient Kasbahs stand amongst the palm trees. From here, the route takes us through Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley of Roses, with a stop to see cosmetic articles locally made from the valley’s abundant roses. We will continue to the Dades Gorge where we will stay in a hotel by the river for the night.

Day 2 Dades �" Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, we will have time to walk by the river before continuing to Toudgha Gorge for lunch. We will drive via the Ziz Valley, and the towns of Erfoud and Rissani and arrive at Erg Chebbi hotel around 3pm, to prepare for departure on the camel into the desert to see the sunset on top of the dunes. We will spend the night in a bivouac and after a traditional tagine dinner and delicious mint tea we will spend the night watching the stars and the rising moon. 



Day 3 Erg Chebbi �" Marrakesh
We will rise early to see the spectacle of the sunrise, when the colour of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. We will make our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. The drive back east to the Dra’a Valley takes us along the length of the Saghro mountains via the villages of Tazzarine (featured in the film ‘Babel’) and N’Qob, where we have lunch overlooking the mountains.

In the afternoon we drive to Tanasikht, where we reach the Dra’a valley, full of large palm trees and ancient kasbahs. Here we go along the track of the ancient caravan route to Agdez. Back on the paved road again, we return to Marrakesh again over the High Atlas to arrive in Marrakech in the early evening.

Sleeping and meals

Riads are old, traditional Moroccan houses, that represent a huge part of Moroccan history and culture. The term ‘riad’ in Arabic means ‘garden’ the reason for this being that riads are built around an internal garden and courtyard - peaceful and a wonderful place for guests to relax out of the sun. As riads in Morocco are often located in the older part of the cities and are usually small in scale, guests who stay in a riad can experience a truly personal service and an intimate atmosphere at the heart of Moroccan culture.

Accommodation in the desert is in a bivouac (traditional nomad camp) - The tents are made of camel wool, the perfect material for Sahara Desert tents as their thickness protects the Sun and the heat to come in, plus, it’s darken color creates shade. While it rains, the wool it self gets bigger, producing a water-proof material. The floors are covered with thick carpets with mattresses are on the floor. Blankets and sheets are be provided.
Almost every town and city has a good selection of quality hotels, however they do become less frequent the further south you go. Although hotels are larger than many other accommodation options, and are a good accommodate option those who wish to 'get away from it all' at the end of the day.
Kasbahs are found predominantly in the south and are based on a Saharan architecture, they often have spacious roof terraces but no exterior windows. Your stay in a kasbah will be as authentic as it comes, there will be no false pretences, all your home comforts are catered for, the food will be traditional and delicious and the staff's local knowledge invaluable.

Your private Morocco tour includes travel in air-conditioned 4wd or mini bus, all fuel expenses, and the services of a local driver.
Cost will vary based on:
The season when you travel
The number of people travelling - more travellers, less cost per person.
The number of days you want to be on tour.
Accommodation - most of our accommodation is at 3 star riads and/or hotels, however luxury or budget accommodation can also be arranged.
One way or return travel - round trips cost less.
