We arrived expecting a somewhat mild trip on a raft due to lower than usual snow fall and subsequent lower flow rates in the Brown Canyon portion of the Arkansas River. We told Derek who was our guide that we wanted some excitement and he suggested the "Duckey boats" versus the large rafts. The Duckey is an inflatable kayak as we soon learned. All of the other participants chose the raft.

Biggest Fish I ever caught!

We did the Gunnison Gorge fly fishing trip and not only did we have a perfect anniversary trip but i caught the biggest Trout ever! My husband no longer holds the record and I'm coming back to this spot every anniversary. Incredible gorge and the food was to die for. I almost want to keep this a secret but it's almost private anyway with limited access to people. This is magic rafting. ... more

We know it’s the best way to reach the magic of the natural world and perhaps each of our souls. Having shared the “River Magic” with over 140,000 guests we have learned that if we take care of each of you, you will in turn take care of us by returning year after year.
Our adventures on 9 different rivers and more than 29 canyons in these southwestern states will offer you choices in destinations from desert rivers to high adrenaline whitewater or a float trip. In addition to boating you can choose a range of activities that include a mix of ��' bike, hike, fly-fish, rock climb, four wheel drive tour, horse back ride and of course rafting. We have expeditions fit for youngsters to grandparents and everyone in-between. You can sleep under the stars or in a five star ‘bed and breakfast’. You can choose your travel companions, travel solo, charter a group trip or let us put a package together for friends, families or colleagues.
Dvorak’s trips have a least two things in common: We believe in the sanctity of our planet and our responsibility to protect it. So which ever adventure you choose with us, we are careful and conscious of how we will share this journey with our guests and we will educate along the way. And…. All of our expeditions will be ��' to the best of our experience and ability as well as unforgettable “River Magic”.
Typical Day
Your expedition with us always begins with your choice and we ask that you concentrate on the fun. We will pump the boats, plan the day, provide the gear, cook the meals, keep track of everyone. We will pay attention to all the details you deserve and make this adventure seem like your personal charter. You are not just a customer we want you as our friend and member of the life long crew. We now share relationships with the children of many of our past guests, some have become part of our guide staff. We'll send you an itinerary and make the initial meeting as easy as possible, then you can turn over the worries to us and just enjoy!
Age range, type of group
Age mimimums vary from 5 years (45 pounds weight) on certain rivers to unlimited age restrictions. No pets. Maximum space on the restricted passenger totals for certain rivers; these vary from 10 to 25 total persons. The Colorado and Arkansas Rivers are not restricted except by space availability with company.
Sleeping and meals
Lunch is provided on all full day trips and all meals on multi day adventures starting with lunch through lunch. Wilderness camping and campfires with our staff/guides taking care of the cooking so you can enjoy your adventure. Multi sport trips may include lodging (bed and breakfast) cabins or accommodation requested.
Restrictions
Some age restrictions will apply on whitewater class levels above class III. No pets are allowed. Alcohol in not allowed on any 1 day trips. Complimentary wine is provided on 2 or more night trips. Personal beverages accepted for consumption at camp on multi day trips.
Rates & Availability
Rates vary from $49 youth (12 and under) to $2600 Exclusive and specialty trips. One half to 8 day trips available on 9 different rivers. Government use fees and National Park fees not included. Additional costs include various equipment rentals. Guide gratuity not included.
